Colin is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with a PhD in Business Management. He has extensive consulting experience in Europe, America, Africa and Asia. He has held teaching posts at London Business School, Manchester University & The Open University.and been a Fellow with the School of Business & Social Sciences at Surrey University, Roehampton. He has been an executive member of the Division of Occupational Psychology of the British Psychological Society and had special responsibility for Public and International Relations for the profession. In 2010 Colin was shortlisted for "Occupational Psychologist of the Year" in the UK.
Graham worked in the computer industry for most of his career. During that time he functioned in both software engineering and marketing. He pioneered one of the first shops selling IBM PC's and was subsequently Marketing Director of a Company selling machines from a major U.S.A. manufacturer. He designed and oversaw the development of many major innovations in the use of IT for the Delivery of psychometrics and related services. Some of which are still unique and ground breaking today.
In 1986 Colin and Graham joined together to form Selby MillSmith in order to apply leading edge computer techniques to psychological questionnaires. They authored a number of psychometric instruments for selection, development and career management purposes which are in world-wide use. In particular they were responsible for developing the world's first commercially available software for:-
Having divested themselves of the business to a publicly quoted company in 1997 they formed Selby & Mills to take advantage of their 40 years of experience in the field of automated assessment.
